  1.  @Dr._Atom  Since we don't have spacecraft fast enough to do the same thing, we'll never know if circling the earth so fast will really do this. The way I look at this, is Superman just needed to rewind the clock for about an hour. That's about how much the earth rotated backwards. At that point, Hoover Dam didn't collapse, and Lois Lane was still alive trying to start her car. Of course, everything else in the solar system, galaxy and the entire universe, still advanced in time, so things will still be off with atomic clocks, satellites, the moon, etc. The movie didn't explain all this, but maybe Superman did some last minute tidying up later on. :/

  2. I would give the boy four seconds, five seconds tops, before he hits the water and perishes. It took Superman about 30 seconds to reach him, so he would have been just in time to pull him out of water to take to the funeral home.

  3. @Alexanderiel Whew! Thanks for the explanation. But if Superman always turned back time about one hour in that part of the movie, the movie would never end, and we would never get out of the movie theater. The movie would would keep repeating over and over again. I'm glad I somehow broke out of this Groundhogs Day mess. I don't think I could handle watching the movie 283810932891239892 times. :)

  4.  @KCM25NJL  Houston, we have a problem. If that's the case, we still need to turn back the clock somehow to 1978, so the movie studio can start over and correct the movie. The new scene will be Superman wasn't too late to save Lois. He was just in the nick of time to save the world from this disaster.

  6. Metropolis is not a safe city, with all these incidents happening. That's not my concern, but it's the dumb residents of Metropolis. They're standing on the sidewalk next to this tall office building, with a dangling helicopter that's just about to fall on top of them. Don't they have any sense to move away? If Superman wasn't around, neither will all these people be around after it falls and explodes. Superman in 2022 won't find any phone booths, let alone any free standing pay phones. He'll need to change the way he changes into his costume.

  8. How tall was that office building? 300 stories? It took Lois 28 seconds from the time she jumped out the window until she struck the awning. I think Clark was way too late to save her. Anyway, striking a window awning after falling 30 stories (which was mentioned in the movie) sure wouldn't provide enough cushion to save Lois. She would still have died, leaving a bloody mess. "Thanks, Superman!"

  11. Superman can turn back the clock. I originally watched this movie in a theater, and remember him turning back time to bring back Lois. The thing is, I don't understand how I ever got out of the theater. If he kept turning back time at this part, the movie would never end. I would be stuck watching the film forever. :/

  12.  @Retro-Future-Land  Maybe Superman took care of that later during time warp cleanup. He wanted his hot chick/girlfriend back. Number 1 priority. Rewinding the whole universe came afterward.

  14. I didn't realize until now that Superman caught the bullet before it killed Lois. Lois would have lost her life many times over, if she didn't meet Superman. Lois didn't know that bumbling Clark was the one who was saving her, thanks to his excellent disguise. :/

  17. Blanks can still be dangerous and have killed people, but I'm surprised Superman didn't know that no bullet hit him.
