I'm impressed that there are only 9 stops to get to Tokyo, and I guess, 9 stops back to London. Incredible! Where can a book my flight?

The child at the start had her wrist and arm wrapped up. It was either for safety protection, or the BBC didn't want to show all the bruises she has from perfecting her clacker skills. There are plenty on sale on Amazon, so the toy still has popularity, and is still unsafe. You can test them as much as you want, but they still can cause injury. Even if the rope and balls were indestructible, that won't stop a child from hitting the balls at high speed right into their face, or losing grip of it, letting the balls fly and cause injury. When I was in grade school the teachers would immediately take them away if they found a student with them.

If the BBC only predicted there would be thousands of TikTok videos of people twerking that get as many views as their network, then their predictions would have been right on target.

This mobile and cordless telephone technology is never going to happen. It's just a fad. But really, if you want to bring a standard desk telephone with you, there's a smartphone/Bluetooth device I spent $35 on: CELL2JACK. I decided to be annoying at Starbucks. I brought one of those old, standard, AT&T desk telephones with me that has a loud bell inside. I set it up and had a friend call me several times, who was also at Starbucks. People were staring thinking there is something wrong with me (which they're right!). 🙂🙃🙂🙃

It's a Tesla killer.

Me too. I'm stuck with the poor service at Hooterville Telephone Company. I still need to climb up the telephone pole to answer the phone, because the telephone company ran out of wire. I can only dream of a mobile device.

I didn't hear any "recalculating" with this reporter's navigation system. Even GPS can lead you into a canal.

If only they knew people would lose the ability to communicate as they stare aimlessly at their smartphones.. As for entertainment, it became endless watching of twerking videos on TikTok.

Assuming it didn't end up at the bottom of the canal. 🙃

The burgers are here to stay in the UK. I can't say that about the reporter's wide tie. The same with "Trumps Hamburgers." I never heard of them. I guess they went the way of Trump Steaks.

I doubt there were any real standards. As with any cheap toy, they were imported by the millions. Who was enforcing the "standard?"

I don't think it ever made it to the U.S. There were though, some cable TV systems in the 70's, that if they had some unused channel space had teletext displays showing news, weather, sports, some stock quotes, and the like. For the sound, it was elevator music to keep you awake,
