  1. Use the contactless terminal instead. Eventually the magnetic strip on credit and debit cards will be going away. It's there for where a chip may not be supported. We're getting close to 100% chip support, so having the magnetic strip will no longer be needed. Reading useable data from a chip using a skimmer isn't really possible.
