  1. Actually, the beaches are public in California. Houses can be built along the beach, but the homeowners can't stop people from walking on the beach. Of course, if your house is now gone, it doesn't even matter.

  2. I'm wondering with concrete, with the weight of it all, I wouldn't want to be in a concrete house during an earthquake. It's also sealing the building like an oven. Most fires start inside a building. It will incinerate everything.
