Do dogs and cats really know what a "hidden camera" is? There's no need to hide it unless they think it's a toy to chew up. But really, the cat is hanging around the dog for its benefit. The cat could care less about the dog as the cat only cares about itself. It just wants something warm to lie on. If the dog gets annoyed and tries to take a bite out of the cat, the cat will look elsewhere to do the same.
