  1. Why should hotels fear it? They have their own niche, clientele, etc. Anyway, there's nothing to stop a hotel or resort from also advertising in Airbnb. Their listings would be more reliable than the crap shoot you go through reserving something that is described as luxurious and convenient, but ends up being a crack house in the 'hood.
