  1. Maybe the cruise line won't explicitly say what cruise performers are paid, but if you do a little Googling, you can get a general idea. Anyway, if the performers are happy with the compensation, that's what matters.

  3. True. Lots of responsibility. If the train derails and flies off the tracks, killing a lot of passengers, and the driver is found partially responsible, not good. Then there are passengers that either fall off the platform, or intentionally jump to commit suicide. I was once on a train where someone jumped in front of it. Also not good.

  4. Probably not as easy as it looks. Even though trains are getting more and more automated, it does demand a lot of concentration. We've all read about train accidents that have cost many lives. Not good.

  5. Do you think that is too much or too little? If too much, try living in London. Stuff can be twice as expensive than in an average location in the states, and I'm not even including the costs of rent/housing, which is really crazy.

  9. I'm unsure if "every game in the last 50 years has gone over-budget," but Los Angeles in 1984 made a profit that far exceeded their expectations. They can do that again in 2028. They have many construction/infrastructure/transportation projects going on right now, including the new Los Angeles Stadium at Hollywood Park. These are not being built just for the Olympics. Very few venues will need to be built solely for the Olympics. 2028 can be more successful than 1984.

  10. True. Also, many times I've boarded planes that don't take off or end up returning to the gate. I'm unsure how one makes it back to the private suite, which is separated from the terminal area by a huge distance, in such a case. Going back to the first class lounge would be 1000x easier. Nobody will bother you there. Since they're already included in the price of a first class ticket, just use that instead.

  11. I didn't watch this as it's probably click-bait. The fact is, all technology eventually dies. There will come a day when Android and the iPhone become obsolete. The same with YouTube. I don't know when, but YouTube will fade away.

  12. If 10 summer Olympic cities are rotating, these 10 cities will need to maintain all their Olympic infrastructure for 40 years, until the Olympics returns. Maybe Los Angeles can do that for facilities that are kept up and used for other things in the interim, with some limited funds needed to build and/or refurbish stuff to current standards. For other cities, 40 years is a long time. If the venues are neglected, after 40 years it all might still need to be replaced.

  14. I did some quick math, and their $14,200,000 annual food bill is quite cheap. If the 4,500 soldiers, on average, eat at the cafeteria twice a day, that's only $3,155.55 per year to feed each soldier, which is $8.65 per day per person, or $4.32 per meal (even less per meal if they're eating closer to three meals a day ($2.88 if all the soldiers eat three meals per day there). I hope the civilian staff working in the kitchen get to eat the food too. It's a benefit they deserve, as working in the kitchen isn't a high paid job.

  15. I've been on a couple cruises. If one likes cruising, that's fine, but I prefer exploring countries rather than being dumped at a port at 8:00 am, and told to be back by 4:00 pm, or the boat will sail away without you. Not that fun, is not really experiencing/exploring, plus you're stuck on a cruise ship with thousands of people you may not like. A cruise ship is like a Las Vegas resort. Cruisers should just go to Las Vegas. It's cheaper, and if you don't like one resort hotel ("the boat"), just walk down to the next. You also won't get sea-sick.

  16. Two seats dedicated to Hooters Girls who don't do anything other than walk around, was a gimmick that didn't last. That, along with an extremely competitive airline industry with a history of airlines going under, didn't help. If you want to see Hooters Girls, just go to a Hooters Restaurant. Cheaper, and you don't have to fly anywhere.

  22. At 4:00 I see two tomato slices placed on each salad. If a salad is missing a tomato, or has too many, does the tomato person lose their job? Anyway, I've seen this video before. Deleting and reuploading the same thing must be a way of YouTube cheating, to get more views.
