Another interesting story is both Voyagers contain a golden record ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Voyager_Golden_Record ) with video and sounds of earth, in the remote case intelligent beings find the spacecraft tens of thousands of years from now. Unfortunately, there isn't an audio video player on board for the space aliens to play it. So unless these space aliens have a Best Buy nearby to buy the proper audio video player with their space alien credit cards, they'll probably not be able to figure out how to play the disk.

  3. I'm thinking needlessly painting an airplane, without removing other layers of paint, increases it's weight/decreases the plane's efficiency. Was the older layers of paint removed once the ad campaign was over?

  4. You're right. It was filled with tech from its time. The builders weren't time travelers, with the ability to obtain tech from the future.
