  1. It's whatever works for you. With me, forget about teaching me advanced math. Self study, tutoring, college courses. It won't work. My older sister got an MA in math. That's where all my math genes went. There was none left for me, but that's OK. I majored in something else and just managed to squeak by what math courses I needed to take at Cal State. I ended up in I.T./software programming. All that advanced math colleges stick in their computer science programs isn't needed. It's just what I call an economic stimulus package for college math departments. 1 + 1 = 3.
