  1. How could the dealer originally say it's not their responsibility? They sold her the car. If the car was stolen and they sold it to her, and they say "tough luck" as the police come to take it away. It doesn't work that way. They're responsible. She should also be paid expenses for not being able to use the car for a year. Needing to rent another car, etc.

  2. I wouldn't trust being a passenger. One flaw with driverless technology is they're not people. If a driverless car is zipping down the freeway where the car in front quickly swerves into another lane because the driver noticed a stationary vehicle directly in front of them, the driverless car will just plow right into that car. This has happened. I prefer people drivers.

  5. I'm kind of thinking the same. If the DA takes the case, I'm unsure if exposing yourself to a wall would get a conviction. She didn't see anything, and had no idea what was going on in the hallway. Her neighbor told her what happened and they only saw his back on the Ring camera. She was busy eating.

  6. When I go down to San Diego, I just don't go down to Tijuana anymore. It's not the delay going into Mexico, but coming back to the U.S. Huge waits of many hours. It's just not worth it.

  9. I've never needed such a service. If I want take-out, I pick it up myself. If I'm hungry late at night and don't feel like making something, there's still plenty of stuff in the fridge to snack on. A frozen dinner, while not the healthiest, only takes five minutes to cook in the microwave.

  18. The city got off cheap. How about paying her the entire annual budget of Scottsdale? Also, all police officers involved should be fired and jailed. I doubt anything happened to the officers aside from some "counseling." This wasn't a mistake. There were no glass fragments on her. The police totally fabricated evidence.

  21. Where's the safety issue? Did Wells Fargo overwork her until she died? As far as employees complaining the body should have been discovered sooner, it's an open area. Employees themselves could have walked by that cubicle many times and not noticed. Where I work, dead employees would be found sooner, at least by the housekeepers. They don't touch what's on employee's desks, but they do empty the wastebaskets at least once a day. Maybe Wells Fargo shouldn't have cutback on housekeeping. :/

  23. ​ @ruthpike3797  There is no requirement to vote on every measure on the ballot. I don't know of one state that requires that. On my ballot, there were a whole bunch of races to nominate judges. I didn't know who they are. I skipped those races instead of throwing darts.

  24. Stupid all around. I don't how he could afford a Porsche, aside from rich parents. I had no car in high school. Working at Taco Bell sure didn't allow me to drive a Porsche.

  25. Whether it's this, AirBNB, Door Dash, Uber and the like, all these people are independent contractors. If an Uber driver intentionally kills a passenger, Uber will do all it can to wash its hands from any liability. It's buyer beware.
