Ray No, what's more impressive is to lose 20% of the most fortified part of your country while fighting with western weapons just in 6 months. lol. At that rate, even if ALL Ukraine was fortified as heavily as Donbass, Russia would have taken it completely in just 2.5 years, but since rest of Ukraine it's not fortified like Donbass, it will be MUCH faster.

@Yayo11111 You said it right, it WAS fortified untill Russia, as they say, "multiplied it by zero". There are a few more fortified towns Russia has to take before the Donbass will be fully liberated - Avdeeivka, Slavyansk, Kramotorsk, Bahmut. Those cities were heavily fortified by Ukranians for 8 years of Donbass conflict (in case you didn't know it). They have a strong defence there. After that line of front there is nothing to deter Russia from speeding up and taking more and more land.

@Yayo11111 Can you give any link to any official video or text where any of Russian politician declared ANY time limits for operation? I guess you can't, cz there is not. I checked. But... I clearly remember that in late February and early March it was Fox news and CNN who presumed that operation might be finished in days when they reported about 40 mile Russian military convoy headed to Kiev. So, this "3 days" belongs to them. You should laugh at their stupidity and incompetence. Remember they also said Russia will run out of weapons, missiles, fuel, soldiers, etc...? Did you think about how much bs they fed you since the begginig of this invasion?

@DarkRoomAmbience I'm not sure about how big was the territory LPR and DPR separatists controlled before Russia's invasion, but I think it's MUCH less than 10% - 15% of WHOLE Ukraine. Just look at the list of cities Russia have liberated resently, it's huge. But what is weird, that Kherson region was taken in days, even though it's not part of Donbass. After battle for Donbass is over, we should expect main territory of Ukraine will be taken as easily and fast as Kherson because there is no heavy fortifications there, and the main Ukranian resistance will be concentrated only in a few big cities.

@B1GK1NG Are you kidding? They were fighting with separatists for 8 years over there. They were trained by NATO instructors and NATO standarts and used NATO weapons. They heavily fortified cities around separatist's controlled area. Unprepared?😂
1
@B1GK1NG Dude, you conradict to yourself. They were trained by the West to fight separatists but didn't get weapons from the West...??? Maybe, cz they already had huge amounts of soviet weapons? Do you know how many weapons was left in Ukraine since Soviet Union? They were more than ready to fight Russia. Just translate the hatred speech of their neo-nazies toward Russians and you'll see they ASKED for it.

@dki-ruzzianfreeenvironment7695 If you concerned about the speed that Russians are advancing with, think about breaking a stick analogy. There is a point where is the resistance reaches it's maximum, and then the stick breaks. Now, Ukraine and Russia reached that point. Who do you think is going to break?
1
@woodstream6137 Try to look at it from military point of view. What is the strategic importance of this town? Why do you think Russians had so much resistance there? Why Ukranians fought hard for this "insignificant" village? What it will mean for both sides that Russia took this place and moved the frontline? Try to see the real value of this military gain of Russia and loss of Ukraine.
1
@dki-ruzzianfreeenvironment7695 Your nickname proves that you DO concerned about the Russians... Think, dki, think... You can't be not concerned and concerned at the same time. 😂
1
@woodstream6137 Well, if the town is insignificant from military point of view, why would Ukranians lose their lives for washing machines and toilets?
1
@woodstream6137 It's home of ethnic Russians since it's Donbass territory and they welcome Russia. Whoever fought in this village wasn't local resident, occupied locals town and got them out of their houses, cz locals are loyal to Russia. They wouldn't fight. It's the Donbass.
