That's NATO's main problem: the more members it has, the more contradictions occur and more problematic every meaningful decision becomes. The Turkish example demonstrates how untrustworthy those members may be when smtng urgent happens. Apparantly, NATO's rules apply democratic approach to solving concent issues in military allience and as a result it obviously leads to decrease in military effectiveness. We just witness it in real time! They can't beat Russia, where is army is functioning as whole and one, and NOT as parent meeting at school.
