It is still done by government, only in a new fancy cover called "SpaceX" that has technological and scientific background of NASA and Russia. What you think SpaceX would have achieved on it's own?

@Mahansmagic I was just saying that Neil wasn't wrong when he said that space programs run by governments and not private sector. Elon as a businessman had no chance of achieving any meaningful success with SpaceX if he didn't recieve tech and science support from NASA, wich is not a company but a national agency. So, his space projects are in fact not his, but NASA's, that was covered with the new cool name "SpaceX" and got a famous representative.
