The world's first serialized psychological novel was red pill. It was "finished" in 1028 AD. The hero/protagonist of the story was a prince named Genji. His amorous adventures were printed as each chapter was written and were distributed at the Hiean court. I don't expect MHD to review this book in its translation. However reviewers may give enough material for comentary.

@ramonalejandrosuare Lady Murasaki no Shikibu. She shared the court with Sei Shonagon who wrote a diary,or pillow book. Lady Murasaki considered her an uncouth hack writer. More due to her illiteracy,she could only write in katakana. Whereas Murasaki wrote in Kanji and was fluent enough to be a court translator to Chinese Envoys in writing and speech.

@ramonalejandrosuare yes,it was. Lady Murasaki no Shikibu. Daughter of a provincial governor. If you want to read a translation I would suggest a library as a copy of Arthur Walleys runs about $1200. There are many translations however that are much cheaper,but not better.

@constablekennedy7705 the width of the scale is far wider than realized. Profiles are no doubt sold on to advertisers,bankers,lenders and big pharma. No doubt the department of pre crime investigation too! The funding of investigation by victims was an old KGB trick used to feret out counter revolutionaries by setting up fundraising in Europe and following the money.
