@sonnyqsoul a narrative that goes against the very core of a realistic and workable arrangement. One that fosters and supports bad decisions. One that hasn't shown much margin of success. Ultimately a solution for men who benefit from other men raising their children.

@sonnyqsoul statistics lag behind events. So the economic decline may have slowed the divorce rate in numbers,but not as a percentage as marriage rates are now 0.05%. As so few are getting married it is no longer a viable statistic with regards to single,or traditional families. The traditional home,if the narrative is discounted, would seem to be one woman,two baby daddys, a live in supporter and a couple of occasional visitors. Not a statistic that is likely to be collected soon. This arrangement isn't something new. It is practiced in the poorest countries in the world where poverty is extreme and several men must share one woman to raise their children. Poverty is so extreme in America that this is becoming the norm also. If you are American are you advocating worsening the situation by having men work longer hours for less money and having to share a woman?

@sonnyqsoul yes,I quoted a statistic, so variable that it has only a meaning for the time it was taken. My friend would tell me if my head's in an oven and feet in a freezer on average I'm comfortable. Currently an outdated mindset is one that lasts more than 90 days and getting shorter. Someone 18 years old today cannot plan for a future,by the time they're 25 the landscape of work,finance,social politics and relationships are changing as the difference with Granpas. If the whole of the U.S. we're to embrace polyamory with single mothers that would change in five years. Then men would want equality and have several families to be the Big Noise. Back to where we started. Being close minded can be comforting. Working out the familial relationships of my inlaws where each man and woman could legally have four spouses was a nightmare I chose to ignore for my sanity. My half of the family are gregarious and we are supporting of each other. Migrants mostly go to North America to avoid state sponsored violence or to experience what is still the best class of poverty in the world, or both.
