@burninghard there isn't a momentary solution. Thorium is the byproduct of neodymium mining. This rare earth is used to make very strong magnets used in everything from toothbrushes to electric vehicles. Taking the waste to generate power to charge electric vehicles is,perhaps, a solution to some of the waste now generated to charge them. Also,currently, 25% of the world's electricity is used in the Harber Bosch method to produce fertilizer that feeds most of the world.
