  1. One explanation that some studies claimed was that the aluminium using the caps contained too much impurities and that caused the plague. It would have been interesting to see discussion about that theory, too, in this video. If I remember correctly, some part had 99.95% pure aluminium and later studies found that if it had been at least 99.99% pure, the plague wouldn't have occurred even with the same electrolyte.

  2.  @noth606  Elko is also used here in Finland, though I think it's originally a loan word from Sweden or Germany.
