  1. I'm fully expecting more and more people switching to CLI systems in the future. However, the command line interface they'll be using will be more like writing commands to ChatGPT.

  2. I'd argue that Linux is used in server and supercomputer environments because it scales better. The reliability is just a bonus. Not having to pay per server for licensing fees is another bonus. Supercomputers run programs that require running on hundreds of thousands of CPU cores for a month. If you can improve the runtime performance even by 2%, you'll want that. It will allow finishing the calculation a day earlier or free a couple of thousand cores for other projects for the whole month. And Windows doesn't support systems with hundreds of thousands of CPU cores. I think 64 is the max one process can use without workarounds that reduce performance.
