  1. It seems that the drill doctor would be pretty great product if it had more adjustments. Namely, web thickness and adjustment to get the split point to get close enough to the center. I think both would have been pretty easy to implement in factory (probably would need one adjustment screw per feature) if somebody had given enough thought to it during design phase of this product.

  2. Would it be possible to grind the angles to split the chisel first and do the other grinds after that?

  3. Could you get somewhat correct relief angle for thick web if you simply rotate the drill bit 5–10 degrees before attaching it to the holder? It seems that the highest point is exactly 180 degrees in the factory design and the cutting edge is not there for thick web. The angle would still be off near the center of the drill but maybe it result would be more usable than the result you demonstrated at 6:50.

  4. Getting a cheap bench grinder and up to $100 worth of cheap drill bits to learn to grind correctly seems like the best bang for the buck. Still costs up to Drill Doctor price and you can grind whatever angles you want.
