  1. I hope you also had high current testing. For example, I've been using NiMH cells with Nikon Flashlight and it takes very high current for maybe 5-10 seconds at a time. It would be interesting to see which cell does the best if you need e.g. 3000 mA for 5 seconds every 30 seconds. That should be about 500 mA average current but most cells cope much worse with such a bursty load. I have had best results with VARTA LSD cells but I haven't tested that many brands plus I'm using very fast charger which makes it even harder for the cells.

  2. Here in Europe, IKEA LADDA costs 6 € for 4 pack including tax making it a really good deal. "Tronic" AA cells have been surprisingly good in my experience, too.
