  1. The legislation should also be compatible with end-to-end encryption. For example, the UK law forces you to release all your encryption keys to police when requested. If you fail to give all the encryption keys, you go to jail. That's not obviously a free society. Another problem is that some countries have passed laws that make use of encryption illegal. That's another example of non-free country. Make sure that your country doesn't pass such idiotic laws that take away your freedom.
