18:15 Insurance companies are going to love this windscreen. Every buyer is practically forced to get glass insurance because replacing that glass out of your own wallet is going to hurt a lot!

9:25 It appears to me that the AI hasn't been trained to understand trademarks. I would guess it gets better results if you actually describe what you want instead of trying to say you want specific products. Also, I would have wanted to see the tiger+atlantis results if you had added "in photorealistic style" or "in steampunk style".

An easy example to understand what a general AI (often spelled AGI for artificial general intelligence) would mean is that it can start without what a painting is or how one can draw in the first place, but you could throw fully 1000 scanned art books (or PDF files) at it and after it has learned about art and drawings from those books, it could do DALL-E 2 stuff without any extra target specific programming. Now imagine such AI system watching every single tutorial video in Youtube and understanding it all...

31:12 The shape an finish of the steel makes this totally look like a low-poly 3d render animation while it's moving.

It really depends what "100%" means on the hardware. With Samsung smartphones it means up to 4.35V on a single li-ion cell which will definitely cause permanent damage. If "100%" is 4.15 V or maybe even 4.20 V and the charge logic monitors battery temperature, it's just fine to charge with high current. I think it would make more sense to actually install 5000 mAh cell and only use 4000 mAh for real. The cell lifetime would be a lot longer.

I think the important question right now would be to ask how much electricity does DALL-E 2 require for a single drawing. How much are we from being able to actually use this even if you could purchase a license for your own use? Some AI systems require about $1000 worth of electricity per hour - not many are rich enough to run such a system even if getting the system was cheap (which they are not).

@BenjoCovers Quick search suggests that Model X windshield replacement cost is between 2000–2800 EUR (or 2200–3000 USD). Since Cybertruck has way bigger windshield, we should expect at least 1.5x the cost or between 3000–4200 EUR (or 3200–4500 USD). I think that's expensive enough to be noticeable even in 100k car.

Another missing feature is ability to attach a window to your viewport / glasses. Kind of use a window as a HUD element. Or it might be probably better to attach the window to your chest or hip so that you could still move your head around to interact with the window easily.

@jenkem4464 As far as I know, DeepMind Gate cannot generate images similar to DALL-E 2. It can do any of the 600 tasks it has been trained but I've yet to see any evidence that you could give it collection of art books and then ask it to do something similar to DALL-E 2 or even DALL-E mini.

Missing YouTube and Netflix on that thing is instant product killer.

Very interesting tech but it's sad that viewing angles suck so much. If I were to decide, manufacturers would start with improving viewing angles and improve the resolution only after getting usable viewing angles. And I would consider about 90 degrees the limit when you can start to improve the resolution. It sounds like Meta is going closer with this idea.

Is this single user device like iPad? Like if your family has 4 members, would you need to purchase 4 units to allow everybody to use Vision Pro with their own Apple accounts? Like $12–15K for a family?

These generated videos are already better than stock video clips because you get unique video for every prompt (so viewers will only see the same clip in single context ever) and funny artefacts would even be wanted for stock video needs. Especially in current state, high quality AI generated video may be valued higher than basic stock video clip by the viewers so there's no need to hide the fact that the clip is AI generated.

One year from now: plot twist: Marques was AI generated in this video.

Interesting product! There were audio/video sync issues in this video (especially lipsync) so maybe check your production workflow for parts that cause extra latency for monitoring.

Huh! With that thick camera, how about just making the rest of the phone equally thick and filling ALL that space with a bigger battery?

8:00 Did you see the AI generator that gets silent video as input and it generates the missing soundtrack?

I don't care about the looks one way or another as long as it's legal and works during the coldest winter days. The sharp front corners look like it could be hard to get road legal in Europe and I wouldn't have high expectations for the windscreen wiper nor the doors during real winter conditions. Sure, the battery pack is big enough so if you waste 10 kWh to heat the doors and windows, there will be no issues. But using 10 kWh of extra electricity just to have special appearance has pretty strong f**k the planet feel.

Is Vision Pro similar single user device as iPad? That is, if your whole family has 4 humans, do you need to purchase 4 units of Vision Pro because one unit cannot be used by multiple users because there is no concept of user profiles within a single device. I'm asking this because a single Vision Pro is so insanely expensive so getting one for each member of your family would be really really expensive.

If I had FSD in my car, I'd try to drive together with it. That is, I would hold my hand on the steering wheel (I wouldn't accept this joke-controller stuff) and feet ready to control the pedals. Basically I would try to increase my safety compared to normal driving. However, the current state of things seems like it's still not worth using for that. I guess I could agree with the AI on the highway well enough to keep it engaged there. I would prefer long distance to car in front of me but assertive lane changes and faster acceleration than shown in this video.
