Great analysis but looking at the comments, you should make your own stance more explicit because surprisingly many seem to think that you were supporting Putin in this video. I guess it's because they fail to understand all the words you used. If you are totally misunderstood by people with lesser education, you should assume you have failed in communication. It would be better to repeat some parts in simpler language to make sure that even the people with poor education understand at least your overall stance.

The left side ("Pro") doesn't seem to believe in letting the other party speak on its turn. I would assume listening in general is not their strong side either.

I understood it was because of tight schedule, not because he couldn't continue conversation. That said, I think Peterson took too much time from the scheduled timeslot. Maybe they should use a chess clock, e.g. 30 minutes per player and you can only speak while your clock is running? If you spend too much time during the initial part of the whole discussion, you'll have even less time for long explanations later.

Normal Person When you're alone in the night with unknown party walking towards you the only safe assumption is to expect the worst. Note that it doesn't matter if the person walking towards you is black, white, yellow or blue. If he or she seems capable of causing bodily harm (and let's be honest, firearms are so easy to get that if he can walk, he is over the bar here) there's no safe way to deal with the situation. That's a pretty bad example of suggesting that people are afraid of e.g. black people for a reason.

I think Peterson was interrupting Dawkins very little here. Of course, Dawkins was interrupting even less but I didn't feel like Peterson interrupted Dawkins too much. In some other discussions or debates, sure. I think Peterson interrupts very little if the opponent doesn't interrupt him.

@codyflores3920 I think Dawkins accepts discussion about metaphysical things in addition to concrete things but he wants that that's explicitly mentioned to make it clear to all parties that that part of the discussion is not about pure facts.

It would be interesting to have another discussion between Dawkins and Peterson but not about religious stuff but about freedom of speech and meaning of AI to human psychology. I would bet Peterson can perfectly make clear points about those things unlike any religious content.

It seems that this debate should have been started with steelman argument for the definition of "political correctness" that everybody taking part of this debate believes. Starting to figure out what the term "Political correctness" means at 1:24:55 is pretty poor execution for this debate.

@mariaolszowska3935 Could you give a timestamp for the part where "he's practically denying Ukraine right to exist"? If you use syntax minutes:seconds (with seconds with initial zero if less than 0, e.g. 03 or 00), YouTube will probably automatically link to current timestamp.

@mariaolszowska3935 OK, so could you give a timestamp for the part where "He's practically dening Ukraine right to exist as a soverign country." ? That's the exact wording you used, typos included.

Could you elaborate more? All I heard within first 10 minutes was analysis of importance of Ukraine to different foreign countries. I fully agree with Peterson's analysis that Russia had much bigger stake for the future of Ukraine than other countries (Ukrainians obviously care about their future, too, but Peterson listed reasons about the situation purely from the perspective of other countries). He also explicitly mentioned around 12:33 that these were three hypothetical reasons for the war. If you think that Peterson was siding Russia here, you just didn't follow his (granted, highly verbose) speech.

@KozakWatchman As far as I know, Saakashvili was President of Georgia, not Ukraine. And I agree that Ukraine will succeed in long run as long as they can avoid corruption of the state (which was pretty bad a couple of decades ago).

As a Finn, It's sad that Canada still pretends to have freedom of speech. The only part of this video I don't like is the superstitious ad around 25:00.
