  1. It seems that if you don't mind the lube in the cross top, putting the stems and springs in a bag with a lube and shaking a bit would be enough. That would definitely get lube to all the moving parts and you could skip the brush work 100%.

  2. I think normal qwerty keyboard with aggressive autocorrect would be the best for most people. You could press keys and if you partially a key and accidentally press two keys or the key next to correct key, or correct keys in incorrect order, the autocorrect would fix up the letters. Basically you would use it by touch typing faster than than you can accurately write and the autocorrect would make it appear as if you're still writing correctly.

  3. Chorded keyboards are also problematic if you need to write in multiple languages. Try writing some Finnish words such as "hääyöaie" with a chorded keyboard and you'll quickly notice that it's not a silver bullet solution.
