  1. I think using fully synthetic fuel made out of water, CO2 captured from the atmosphere and electricity is the way to go until we have good enough battery technology to convert airplanes to pure electric. Even with CO2 capture, you could have zero CO2 emissions but NOx emissions are still a problem so that shouldn't be considered permanent solution.
