  1. 6:50 I think this is just modern version of Netscape "let's rewrite everything because we're going to make it much simpler this time" – the end result is always, nope, the complexity is actually real and you cannot make it simpler without dropping features. The best you can do is try to improve existing implementation if you're not willing to lose features. This is because the only accurate enough specification for the existing behavior is the existing code. All the other requirement lists and specifications always lie.

  2. 12:50 Offshoring is actually a great example of stuff that will cause problems if you try to implement the code with AI. If actual human developers offshore couldn't figure out your requirement/spec/instructions, what change does the non-AGI level AI have?
