  2. I think it's okay to allow repairs. The race is for most distance within 24 hours, not 24 hours of driving on the track. If your car is broken and weather causes red flag, consider yourself very lucky but keep repairing the car. The major problem with this race was that there was no clear decision made early enough about what's going to happen in case of weather. Just make rules clear! For example: - If track is partially covered by fog, there will be double yellows for those parts if that makes continuing race safe enough. - If race is red flagged, you can do repairs to your car. - If race is red flagged, it can be restarted at minutes :00, :15: 30 or :45. - The race will not be prematurely stopped but obviously a red flag within the last 15 minutes is going to prevent the race from restarting anymore because of previous rule.
