@someguyprobably It's more like +1 dB increase means amplitude of sound waves have ~26% more power. That means that the sound power is doubled for every 3 dB (if you run two cars side by side, the sound is +3 dB above the single car sound output) and humans usually interpret +6 dB as twice as loud. This is why people damage their hearing with too loud music.

From how this was recorded, I would have never guessed the car emitted 131 dB noise! That's equal to about 2000 lawn mowers running at full blast in parallel or nearly equal to fighter jet during takeoff.
