  1.  @1000servus  The idea of "turn right on green BUT give way for pedestrians + bikes" is that you don't need to look to left to make sure you don't collide with cars. You're turning on right and you look for pedestrians + bikes only. The US style of turning right on red but having to look to left to make sure you don't drive in front of another car results in less safety for pedestrians + bikes. It's a compromise: US style turn on right on red is a rule that gives a finger to all pedestrians + bikes to make driving faster. And then US people wonder why practically nobody is walking or bicycling!
