He drove a bit slower after the incident, not because he was scared but because one tyre was punctured! One YouTube commentator summarized that video pretty well: That's a more sincere "Dear God" than you'll ever hear in church.

Kankkunen is 3rd most successful rally driver ever: 4 WRC Drivers' Champion titles with three different manufacturers (Peugeot, Lancia, Toyota). Only guys better ever were Sébastien Ogier (8 titles, three manufacturers, too) and Sébastien Loeb (9 titles, 1 manufacturer) and both drove in the era with computer controlled diffs and paddle-shifters on the steering wheel so the amount of manual work was much less. Next year (2025) Kankkunen is going to be deputy team principal for Toyota WRC team so he's still working.
