Know your boundaries and decide them before hitting on them. I'm pretty flexible because I think I have some things that are important to me and non-negotiable and the rest of the things are not important for me and I can be very flexible about those to make my partner happier. I don't care if the non-important things go according to somebody's else taste but I will definitely not give up the important things.
