  1. I totally agree that for AI developer to replace human developers would require that the AI is better at communicating with normal people. The primary task of human developer is to understand normal people well enough to figure out what the end user is expected to do. This requires lots of communication because by default normal people don't communicate with all the detail needed to make decisions about the implementation. Then the developer figures the best way to create the UI/UX and then finally implement it. Human developers will end up without jobs if AI understands non-developer communication better than human developers. Considering how poor most software developers are in communication to non-technical people, this shouldn't be that hard but the level of understanding still seems to be way too high for AI of today. Even if Devin could only understand end user needs and design a sensible UX for the end user needs, it would be a huge win already. Having ability to implement that design would be just a bonus.
