  3. The moral of the story: for some people revenge is more important than the life of the victim or their own. Theodore was no different from young school shooters: both are more than willing to waste their own life in name of revenge for their historical personal experiences. Proper mental health support could help this kind of people but getting mental health support rapidly is next to impossible in most countries. Getting proper mental health support in crisis situation should be equally easy as calling 911.

  9. As I see it, once he said he wants a lawyer, the detectives stopped making any questions. They did continue to explain how things are going to go and the detectives discussed with each other about how they would behave in identical situation. If the criminal wants to spill the beans even without being asked anything, that's their free option. When you ask for a lawyer, it just means that the cannot ask you questions about the case but they don't need to stay silent either. And when you ask for a lawyer, it would be a really good idea to stay silent yourself until you get to discuss with your lawyer.
