  1. I totally agree that box in perfect condition helps resale value a lot. However, I know perfectly well that you send only the broken part or device to repairs and nothing else. The only exception is DOA returns where you have been promised to be send full unboxed replacement and for that you have to typically return everything. Some manufacturers even allow you to keep everything else from the original product except the broken part for DOA return (e.g. Bose allows you to remove earpads, highly expensive detachable wire etc etc if your headphones are DOA).
