If your own framework computer suffers from this issue, it would be cool to make a video where you implement the workaround for that hardware. You could also demontrate much cleaner implementation of the jumper wires than the one shown in the official documentation.

@winebartender6653 Yes, but the point of a video would be to show how quick the job is to complete if you have proper equipment and use proper wires.

7:25 One important thing to notice is that the problematic motherboard is on their first generation motherboards. The Framework publicly acknowledged the issue, provided workaround for the owners of the problematic motherboard and fixed the issue in following models seems pretty okay to me. If they wanted to go extra mile, giving an extra discount for the upgrade from first gen motherboard to newer generation motherboard would be nice way to handle the issue: they have design that allows replacing individual parts and the problem is only related to the motherboard. Long time ago when DVD drivers were still important thing to have in a computer, my Pioneer drive had firmware problem and when I reported it, they replied that they will not fix the issue but their newer DVD drive will have improved firmware and it will not suffer from the same issue. They then recommended me to purchase their next gen drive to fix the firmware issue which they could have fixed simply releasing new firmware image and updater software. That was definitely not okay. I have avoided any Pioneer products since then because it's obvious they won't do even the minimum effort to support their hardware.

Pro tip: whenever the web site captures Ctrl+F, you can instead do Ctrl+L Ctrl+F which first moves the focus to the address bar and then Ctrl+F activates the browser native search.

The idea of Framework employing a single person to do the required hardware changes to 1st gen motherboard is really good. They could even have a system where you send them your current 1st gen motherboard, they inspect that it's a working one and then immediately send you a replacement 1st gen motherboard back. That is, they immediately swap your motherboard to one with the fix already applied and then put the motherboard you submitted into the pile of 1st gen motherboards to fix. That would allow fast response time for the fixes and a long enough queue for that worker to focus on repairing those motherboards full time.
