  1.  @rossmanngroup  I remember seeing a futuristic comic years ago where in first pane a person basically writes "Hi, how are you?" and AI generates a full page long email message which was then sent forward. In the last pane, receiver uses another AI that converted that full page of text back to "Hi, how are you?" I still feel regret I cannot find that comic but I think we've already reached the point where that comic describes reality!

  2. I'm using Linux and I use both regular hyphen-minus (-) and en-dash (–) and I have configured my keyboard to emit the en-dash when I press AltGr and "-". I use Finnish keyboard layout with ISO TKL physical keyboard so I can also write letters such as åäö and some more rare stuff such as µ or × or ß. And I can use my compose key to write letters such as éèȩęëẽêēě without using a character picker for any that stuff. To re-configure my keyboard, all I need is one line in .xsessionrc: xmodmap -e "keycode 61 = minus underscore minus underscore endash hyphen endash" It completely redefines what keycode 61 does when combined with various modifier keys. I have no idea how you could do the same thing on Windows.
