I don't know about the local legislation for this employee but here in Finland, the law requires loyalty to the employer and that limits what negative things you can say as an employee about the company even if those things were publicly known and true facts. It's a really twisted part of old legislation that hasn't been invalidated for some reason - maybe some richer companies have lobbied against changing that. That said, the spirit of Tesla behavior is obvious very bad. I'm only saying that it might be okay if you only consider the letter of the laws and contracts.

I absolutely agree! The correct way for Tesla to deal with the video would have been to post a reply that they have fixed the software and car should not longer execute the same errors. They could have also used it as an opportunity to advertise their product by saying that the update will be automatically installed to all cars free of charge or visiting the carage.

The Tesla FSD is fully self driving only in sense it's better than really bad human drivers. I know human drivers that would have more collisions than even the current state of Tesla FSD. That said, firing a person for publicly displaying result is a bad move. Unless that person was working under signed NDA which would have made that breach of contract.
