If Apple actually wanted Longevity by Design, they would have underfill for every chip and the PCB would have conformal coating. And none of the connectors would put data line next to high voltage lines. If they wanted longetivity, they wouldn't always go for design over functionality. Apple is currently doing none of that so it's obvious their idea of Longevity by Design is to improve longetivity of their money making profits. And functional design doesn't need to look ugly. Good looking functional design is hard to create but not impossible.
