@Splarkszter It's better to measure how much of your mothly salary is left after paying taxes, health insurance and 1000 sq ft (~100 m²) apartment (rent or mortgage payment). Here in Finland, 100k per year (before taxes) would leave you with ~3500 EUR/month for food, utility bills, car(s) and entertainment. You would be considered pretty rich here for that kind of salary. Of course, it helps a lot that public health system is good enough that need to spend on health insurance is really low.

@zuzanazuscinova5209 About 13% of all workers make 50000–100000 per year and only about 2% make 100000 € or more per year. That means that majority of all people earn less than 50000 € per year. (These numbers are the yearly salary where you still have to pay your income tax. However, these numbers are not directly comparable to e.g. US system because in Finland, the employer has mandatory taxes before the money even gets to the employee.) In practice, if the employee sees 50000 € before taxes, the employer has actually paid about 67000 € to make it possible (because yearly mandatory employer costs are about 17000 € for this salary). And your tax rate is about 25% if you yearly income is 50000 € so you get about 37500 € tax free when employer had to have 67000 € to make it possible.
