  1. And if you don't subscribe for the feature, you're still paying BMW for developing the required parts, service hierarchy and software that allows disabling the feature for you. Hopefully you're happy with your bang-for-the-buck for choosing the purchase a BMW car. It would be literally cheaper for BMW to allow all these features as standard! They are not trying to be cost effective, they are just trying to extort maximum amount of money from you. Do you think their service network is designed to be cost effective?

  2. Does BMW still use regular high beams instead of "matrix lights" that have projector technique to selectively mask only the incoming car out and have high beams still enabled for all the other directions?

  3. The automatic highbeam feature was introduced as an option called "Autronic Eye" in year 1952 Oldsmobile. BMW customer base seems to accept that the feature is so high-end tech that it requires a subscription to be available in a BMW car.
