  1. Considering how expensive machines by ASML already are, I'm pretty sure semiconductor foundries are not happily jumping to new tech unless customers are willing to pay a lot more.

  2.  @HighYield  Sure, once you have already bought the machine that can do the job. If modern 300M–400M USD ASML machines cannot use this new process without modifications, the initial switch to this new tech is going to hurt quite a bit. If the change is simple enough to allow the existing machines to switch to it, I totally agree that this is a really cool invention.
