It's possible that your partner makes conscious decision to use alcohol or drugs and cheating happens as a consequence of that. Then they have an excuse for the cheating part but you still have a huge problem to solve.

Peterson is interesting person. I find myself agreeing on pretty much everything non-religious things he speaks about but for religious stuff, I fail to understand his viewpoint. This video is a great example of the well said non-religious stuff.

@Faaaaaa02120 I agree. Cheating is a decision but you cannot say it's a bad decision. It's probably exactly the thing that cheater wanted to do so it must be the best decision for him or her. However, it's bad for everybody else and there's no way the cheater can ever fix the bad results for everybody else. I'd say that if you and the cheater had clearly defined rules about what's cheating and you agreed that neither party will cheat, and the other party cheated anyway, it's time to end the relationship. However, if you didn't have any kind of clear agreement and you simply assumed that there's some rules that both parties are going to follow, your partner not following your unspoken assumption should not be considered cheating. Some couples have monogamy, some have polygamy, and the definition of cheating is totally different for different groups. You cannot assume any given definition and pretend to be right and call everybody else bad for not having the same assumption.

3:00 More entertaining variant of this same context would be watching the TV series called Breaking Bad.

It seems that researchers are a bit out of touch with reality if they think that the mayhem you can do in GTA is somehow recent twist. I remember playing GTA III in year 2001 and thinking that bumping over an elderly woman with a car, getting out of the car with a baseball bat and beating the woman to death and then stealing the ambulance that arrived to the scene would definitely be considered newsworthy when it comes amount of criminal activity in games. It appears that it took a couple of decades for researchers to notice this kind of games. I hope they check out GTA 6 a lot faster when it's published later this year.
