  1. Pro tip: YouTube video goes frame-by-frame with comma and period keys with some keyboard layouts when the video is paused. For some other layouts, the correct keys are "<" and ">".

The reason "turn the thermostat too high" sometimes improves the heating speed is that the thermostat is poorly located and will get directly heated by the heating system and it will turn the heat off too soon, simply to be turned on again after the air mixes a bit and the thermostat can measure the actual temperature in the room.
