Dear, how long could that possibly be?? I am in my mid 60s and surely you know that the road ahead is shorter than the road behind? We are ALL alone. My darling man died and I nursed him and watched him die. After that, what can you wish for or want? My children are grown and have their own lives as is right and proper. If you are really afraid as you say then sell the place and move into an assisted living. There are some quite nice ones now with excellent dining rooms and transportation. But there are good lot of us poor old things living in dire want; I dont mean to be harsh but you know what our generation thinks of whining. Be grateful for what you have had and do have; it is easier to sniffle and sigh in a well-heated parlor when you can afford to keep the lights on, dont you agree?
