He is finally in the land of the free, he should be joyful enjoy his "freedom" while it lasts, and about Hong Kong, peace is once again restored, but would help if more like him has left, lol.
35
@ce1834 It is CPC btw, CCP is used by anti China forces, prob why you used it
32
The provincial Isle of Taiwan beats Mainland China for badminton doubles gold.
26
How ironic, where were they when Hongkongers were treated like third class citizen under the British?
17
SCMP never seems to dispoint with its anti China undertone, the frame of this opening statement is completely wrong, plus in 2004, China was not (still is not) in competition with any country on high-speed rail, it was a relatively poor country just started to develop/industrialise, it planned to upgrade its rail infrastructure. What rival/competitor is SCMP talking about?
10
Chinese Taipei printed on the players t-shirts 😂😂
9
@TheBostricano Gordon Chang told you? Keep on coping
8
@ce1834 $0.05 CIA toilet paper 👏
8
@ESESsparky Talking about being loud, obnoxious, no sense of respect towards others, undermine you own ppl, greedy and selfish, these protesters or rioters have displayed every single bad behaviour you mentioned, oh let me add one more to that, you are much much more violent!

Taiwan is a province of the ROC. PRC replaced ROC as the sole legitimate representative of the ''One China'' in the United Nations.
5
@zurielsss Complete nonsense
5
Pity, your comment on YouTube mean nothing
4
@salt_spicy Have you received your CIA toilet paper money yet? How was your trip to your local food bank?
4
@TacticalMayo Time to take your meds
4
@TacticalMayo How was your trip to your local food bank? Grab some meds while you are there

@TacticalMayo Reported for hate speech and harassment
4
@TacticalMayo The US, the UK has food banks as I've seen them with my own eyes, and people are queuing for them. So many poor homeless people depend on them, they are begging in your busiest city streets
4
@TacticalMayo So how come your hundreds of thousands of homeless can't even have shelter and regular meals? How come they are being criminalised too?
4
@zurielsss How would you make that connection? I guest if you think the Chinese state/government owns all Chinese companies? Though you said it yourself SCMP is a privately owned, again, total nonsense
3
Well observed and said, absolutely!
3
@TacticalMayo And in the US, homeless people are being criminalised, what a shame, the beacon of human rights, LOL
3
@TacticalMayo China has 45,000 KM of high speed rail, the US has ZERO.

Sorry Tsai, you forgot your country is called (the Republic of) China, its territory includes Mainland China as written in your constitution. You claim to want to protect the sovereignty of Republic of China, yet blatantly violate the sovereignty of China by meeting a US official without permission of your central government. Who do you think you are fooling? Over 90% of the countries in the world recognise there is only ONE China, People's republic of China's government is the ONLY legitimate representative of the ONE China.
2
@Thefess Yes, they did, as printed on their t-shirts, Chinese Taipei. What is your problem?
2
@zurielsss Since when a private company owned by a private individual a mouthpiece of China?
2
Yes
2
@Thefess It is a factual statement. China won gold and silver.
2
@Thefess Don't make a fool of yourself
2
@wynn3077 Why don't you debate with me about my "misinformation"? Don't have any facts to argue against me? Come on don't be shy.
2
@TacticalMayo Apart from name calling, what else are you people capable of? By calling everybody whose facts you can't refute Wumao, just makes you look dumb (are you 12 years old or something?) Why don't you argue with the contents of what I said, instead of name calling like a school kid?
2
@wynn3077 Reported for spam
2
@canto_v12 "factual and balanced"? Well they failed on this report from the opening statement, they certainly didn't try to give the impression that they are "factual and balanced", instead I get the impression they are trying to mislead.

The US is a sad country, there is so much hate there, it is pathetic.
1
@TeeHee-vo1bn ROC no longer exists since 1971. Provincial Isle of Taiwan is a semi colony of the US. It has no political autonomy let alone democracy.
1
@lordhoweproductions3733 The United Nations General Assembly Resolution 2758 (also known as the Resolution on Admitting Peking) was passed in response to the United Nations General Assembly Resolution 1668 that required any change in China's representation in the UN be determined by a two-thirds vote referring to Article 18 of the UN Charter. The resolution, passed on 25 October 1971, recognized the People's Republic of China as "the only legitimate representative of China to the United Nations" and removed "the representatives of Chiang Kai-shek" (referring to the then-authoritarian Kuomintang regime as the dominant party in the Republic of China, whose central government had retreated to Taiwan from the mainland) from the United Nations.
1
@lordhoweproductions3733 Chiang Kai-shek (KMT) led ROC lost its legal representation of China in 1971 (Re: The United Nations General Assembly Resolution 2758). In fact, ROC ceased to exist in 1949 when the CPC (The Communist Part of China) led PRC was founded after it defeated the KMT (The Chinese Nationalist Party) forces in the Chinese civil war.

@TeeHee-vo1bn I am telling the truth
1
@TeeHee-vo1bn I presented facts, you are in denial
1
@Thefess What are you on about? Try to make sense first maybe 😂
1
I would give you 2 thumbs up for this well said quote, isn't it true? A bad life decision indeed.
1
@zurielsss Nope, it is a privately owned company, yes Jack Ma (no connection to the Chinese gov't, he is a businessman a capitalis) has a large share of the company but it certainly does NOT propagate for China, it is anti China, because its editors are all a bunch of pro West 5th columnists. It is a Western media outlet pretending to be a Chinese media, see how you are all fooled without realising
