Yes, from a Chinese YouTuber covering the war who I follow, he believes it is Russia's goal to cut off Ukraine from the sea and west Ukraine has nothing literally the poorest regions which Russia is not interested in. And when Odessa is taken over, Ukraine will lose all its access to the sea and it will only become a much poorer country in the years to come.
