  1. The US' target has been China from at least 10 years ago, and I believe the US thinks without China's economical support, Russia could not have gone ahead with the invasion and be successful. I guess the US wants to provoke a war with China either in the South China Sea or over Taiwan. These are China's core interests and China has no option but to win the war. Sanction China economically will be almost suicidal because US' (and the EU) dependency on Chinese goods and trades, and I believe China could retaliate economically very effectively against the US, this will only drive up the inflation higher for the US, but it is expected that the US empire will not go down without a deadly struggle. It is appearing ever more crazy and desperate.
