The Three Communiqués or Three Joint Communiqués (Chinese: 三个联合公报) are a collection of three joint statements made by the governments of the United States and the People's Republic of China (P.R.C.). https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Three_Communiqu%C3%A9s The first communiqué (February 28, 1972), known as the Shanghai Communiqué, summarizes the landmark dialogue begun by President Richard Nixon and Premier Zhou Enlai during February 1972. Some of the issues addressed in this communiqué include the two sides' views on Vietnam, the Korean Peninsula, India and Pakistan and the Kashmir region, and perhaps most importantly, the Taiwan (Republic of China) issue (i.e., Taiwan's political status). Essentially, both sides agreed to respect each other's national sovereignty and territorial integrity. The United States formally acknowledged that "all Chinese on either side of the Taiwan Strait maintain there is but one China". The second communiqué (January 1, 1979), the Joint Communiqué on the Establishment of Diplomatic Relations, formally announces the commencement of normal relations between the United States and the People's Republic of China. In so doing, the United States recognized that the government of the People's Republic of China was the sole legal government of China. In addition, the United States government declared that it would end formal political relations with the Republic of China ("Taiwan") while preserving economic and cultural ties. Both sides reaffirmed their wish to reduce the risk of international conflict as well as avoidance of hegemony of any nation in the Asia-Pacific region. The third and final communiqué (August 17, 1982), also known as August 17th communiqué, reaffirms the desire of both sides to further strengthen economic, cultural, educational, scientific, and technological ties. Both sides also reaffirmed the statements made about the Taiwan issue in the previous communiqué. Although no definitive conclusions were reached on the issue of arms sale to Taiwan, the United States did declare its intent to gradually decrease its sale of arms to Taiwan. A declassified cable sent on July 10, 1982 from Secretary of State Lawrence Eagleburger to AIT director James R. Lilley explained that reducing arms sales to Taiwan would be contingent on the commitment of the PRC to a peace across the Taiwan Strait.[2] Afterwards, the US unilaterally complemented the third communique by issuing the Six Assurances to Taiwan.

  10.  Manuel Dumont  Chiang Kai Shek and his Nationalist Party (KMT) was a dictatorship who ruled Taiwan with an iron fist for 40 years which led to Taiwan's economical success, did you not know this you ignoramus? It is currently a vassal of Western imperialists and a dictatorship by elected government that promote hate against Mainland Chinese where expressing pro China views and/or a sense of Chinese identity publicly could get you supressed and attacked.   11.  Manuel Dumont  There is NO mess in China, it is all in your lousy childish conspiracy theory, China did not and will not submit to the Western financiers and the US did not single handedly build China either, they merely offered each other the geopolitical and economical benefits both sides needed, the US invested for a huge market return and sought help to fight the cold war from China and China's own economical policy and hard working of the Chinese people enabled the advancement of its economy, you really need to keep up with your anti China lines, they are not aging well.

China didn't take over Taiwan as per the winning allies of WW2, in 1945, imperialist Japan returned Taiwan, a Chinese territory officially since the 1600s back to China (Republic of China period 1912-1949) after its surrender having lost the WW2. Taiwan was forced to be given control to Japan for 50 years (1895-1945) as a part of an unequal treaty signed between the Qing China and Japan after China lost a Japanese imperialist war. In 1949 after losing a long civil war to the Chinese Communist Party which fought for the poor and oppressed, the Chinese Nationalist Party (KMT) retreated to the Island of Taiwan with the aid of Western powers and reestablished and continued its rule as Republic of China. Taiwan has always been a part of China since historical times and still is as recognised by majority member countries in the UN.

Many Taiwanese have been brainwashed by the KMT and the DPP governments to hate Mainland China (Chinese), using the same political ideology bias and racial superiority the West uses against Mainland socialist China, problem is the US is actively dividing China by arming separatists in Taiwan, without these provocations, Mainland China is pretty happy to leave Taiwan alone, Taiwan is hijacked by the Western imperialist powers for the purpose to contain China, it is a Chinese territory so therefore it matters to all Chinese people living in it, especially the 1.4 billion Chinese on the Mainland, you have no idea how much China suffered from (Western) imperialism in the past, Taiwan has been a part of that 100 year of humiliation and ''carving up'' of China by Western powers, the Chinese people can not allow any more aggression from the West, it has a right to defend its territory from being divided away.

  21.  @Stevoblues  Yes, you should have made your original post clear, what you meant to say is the Chinese society is not dominated and controlled by any (foreign) religion, this is correct, this is because Chinese people take a practical approach to religion, they don't blindly believe everything being preached, because otherwise it could lead to religious extremism and in turn lead to societal disharmony which is against the Chinese culture.
