  4.  Deep Thought  What you mentioned is one of the reason why China contained the spread better but the main reason is as I said EVERYONE in China wears a mask so it slows the spreads, masks do work, especially when you don't know who is infected and even the ones who are infected don't know themselves but are very contagious while asymptomatic, so everyone needs to wear a mask just to be safe, it is the minimum protection for everyone, especially it is a known fact that this virus could spread through droplets aerosol in the air in certain weather conditions/humidity and in enclosed spaces like buses and tubes and air conditioned indoor places.
