Britain has not learnt from history, it contributed a great deal of sufferings of the Chinese starting with the two Opium Wars marking the beginning of the ''century of humiliation'' for China and now it takes order from Washington being the faithful running dog of the US empire, it is not very wise however for the UK to follow closely to the US, as when the US empire will die their running dogs could be next.

@mikecavallaro466 Why would you want to challenge China's rights to sovereignty over the South CHINA Sea and its territorial islands of which its ownership began centuries before the US was even a country? Just because you fancy? Has China sailed to the Gulf of Mexico or the coast of Florida once every month? Its rich for you to play the victim here, lol.

@mikecavallaro466 BTW, the US/West does not hold any claim to any island among the South CHINA sea, all the countries in the region clearly expressed they do not welcome Western involvement, why don't you mind your own business and stop sending warships to China's backyard unless you want to incite regional tensions or worse?

@mikecavallaro466 Yeah, cry more, but you do not speak for nor represent the countries in the region, but I understand you can't help it with your old habit of meddling other countries' affairs. Talking about the worst ecological offender, look no further than the US, and the Marshall Islands where it was used as a repeated nuclear testing grounds for many decades, of which negative effects are still being felt today. What has disappeared there was more than just coral reefs, LOL.

@mikecavallaro466 Go back read what I wrote, nowhere I have spoken for any nation in the region, I am merely stating the sentiment expressed by the concerned countries, and do check a map of the islands in the SCS, many islands are actually claimed and controlled by other countries, not China, you are under the false impression that China wants to claim and control ALL the islands there as per your media lied to you. NO country in the region would like to take clear side with the US/West on the matter because they understand the agenda of the US, and they ALL want to be on good terms with China, this is just a fact despite your ignorance of it. The US' presence contributes nothing positive to the region, but that is what your intention is, stirring up tensions in the regions to contain China.

They are only improving the facilities that were already there, all thanks to the US repeated aggression and provocation, so you have yourself to blame for that I am afraid, if a guy insists to hang around your front yard, I am sure you will make your door secure, it is as simple as that.

@mikecavallaro466 It doesn't matter what people like you believe what China will do or not do to Taiwan, Taiwan is not going to float away, time is on China's side, Taiwan will never declare independence, because the US would not allow it, it is merely a chessboard, it is powerless, Taiwan's economy depends on the Mainland a great deal and all Taiwan's supply of resources could be switched off instantly if China wants to, the question is if the US is so committed to protect Taiwan it should have done something about it, why wait for China to get even stronger? What is the US afraid of? Would the US go to war with China over Taiwan, I don't think so.

@mikecavallaro466 LOL, first of all Taiwan is not an independent country, it is a part of China, so there is no such thing as ''Taiwanese'' territorial water. If China has entered the ''Sea of Japan'' then that is only because Japan has entered the Chinese territorial waters or the territorial waters of China's islands first, China would NEVER send any military ships into other nations' waters unprovoked. So again your stupid arguments failed to stand.

If someone is listening then it is not empty threats, you never know with countries as unpredictable as the US, repeating plain words again and again is what is needed to make the message clear, again I don't think Taiwan is stupid enough to risk anything, and about the US, it just wants to sell more weapons to Taiwan, but again your country is an unpredictable country and does foolish things.
